SIR MONDAY ONYEME PRESENTS EASTER GIFTS TO COMMUNITY BASED WOMEN'S GROUPS FROM NDOKWA

The Chairman Delta State Board of Internal Revenue, Sir Monday John Onyeme is a man of great experience and zeal to serve. Having worked in various government sectors both on the Federal and State, the administration of Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa deemed him most qualified to occupy the sensitive position of Chairman, Board of Directors of Delta State Board of Internal Revenue. His Kinsmen in Ibabu Kingdom of Onicha Ukwuani in Ndokwa West LGA of Delta State also bestowed him with the highly revered title of Odoziani I which is the equivalent of a high Chief in certain other customs and climes.

On Sunday 10th April 2017, two community based women Organizations from Ndokwa West LGA  were hosted to a Pr-Easter gathering in Asaba, Delta State by Sir Monday Onyeme.

The Chairman was accompanied by the Secretary of the Board and other top Government functionaries in presenting cash and material support such as Governor Okowa branded Rice bags to the women as a means of empowerment as well as Easter gifts for their families to enjoy and feast.
 The Virtuous Women's Group and the Excellent Women's Group received the gifts with pomp and pageantry as they sang  and danced all-through the day and late into Sunday evening.

Sir Monday Onyeme said the occasion was an opportunity for him and other government functionaries to key into the Governor Okowa Motto of Prosperity for All Deltans. He said the gesture would also be extended to the other two LGAs that make up the Ukwuani Kingdom. Sir Onyeme further enjoined the women to help in propagating the message of a new Delta under Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, whom he described as a very compassionate and caring Governor. He also enjoined the women to ensure that they encourage all their family and friends to do all in their power to promote unity in Ukwuani land so that their common goals and aspirations can become achievable in good time.

The representatives of the two Women's groups took time to deliver appreciation speeches were they promised their unflinching support for the laudable programmes of the Okowa Administration. They also prayed for a successful tenure in office for Sir Monday Onyeme whom they described as a God sent ambassador of his people, and a man who is never too busy to listen and accommodate all who seek his attention, guidance or assistance.

Earlier in the day, the Chairman Delta State Board of Internal Revenue, Sir Monday Onyeme, said that the unique quality that binds the entire board members together, is a  common desire to shun all forms of self serving actions and focus on getting the desired results for revenue generation in Delta State, which will go a long way in provide basic social amenities for all Deltans while at the same time ensure a wider reach for beneficiaries of the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa empowerment programmes for Youths and Entrepreneurs.

Sir Onyeme, a thoroughbred Chartered Accountant with divers training both Local and International had, prior to his current appointment, held top positions both in Private and Public Sectors which include but not limited to: The Bursar, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), The Chief Accountant and later Bursar of the Federal College of Education (Technical) Asaba, Assistant Chief Accountant (Head, Finance and Supplies) at the National Agriculture Land Development Authority, Asaba, Senior Executive Assistant (Audit) at Commercial Trust Bank, Lagos, Internal auditor of the National Electric Power Authority (NEPA), now Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) Lagos Office and Assistant
Lecturer, Federal Polytechnic, Kaura Namoda, Zamfara State.
