COUNTDOWN TO CROSS RIVER MOVIE AWARDS 2016 BEGINS




 The serene city of Calabar is getting agog with all hands on deck towards a successful 4th outing of the prestigious Cross River Movie Awards (CRMA) scheduled to hold on the 11th of December 2016 at the Pearl Ball Room, Transcorp Hotel, Calabar. The event begins with Movie Carpet at 6.00pm while the main Award Ceremony commences at 8.00pm. 


The Initiator of the annual event, Hon. Eric Anderson has promised that the 2016 edition of CRMA holds a lot of pleasant surprises that will make every minute an exciting moment. All the big names in the movie industry will be attending the ceremony to show their support for the award nominees and recipients alike. A lot of these big time players in the entertainment industry like Pete Edochie & Liz Benson will be presented with LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT awards while  MERIT AWARDS will be presented to Kunle Afolayan, Segun Arinze, Fred Amata and Bimbo Akintola.

Other categories include:

i.    FEATURE FILM

ii.   INDIGENOUS FILMS &

iii.  SHORT FILMS.
  



While speaking with leisure quest entertainment magazine, Hon. Anderson disclosed that the event  has limited quantity of tickets available, these are currently on sale at the Transcorp Hotel, Calabar, and there may be a few remaining seats/tickets on sale at the venue on the actual day of the event. Hon. Eric Anderson, the CRMA Initiator/ Executive Director has 17 years experience in stage and film production.  He was Chairman of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Cross River state chapter 2011 - 2013, Deputy Band Leader of Seagul Band 2013 - 2015 also Crowd coordinator for the Film Half of a Yellow sun 2012. He is currently the special Assistant to the Governor of Cross River State on Tourism. He is a veteran actor, with rich experience in the field of organizational communication.

TRENDING GOSPEL SINGLE "POWERFUL GOD" BY PRECY RECEIVES RESOUNDING ACCOLADES

 After listening to a Power Packed song titled "POWERFUL GOD" by Precy which is currently making waves among gospel and circular music fans nationwide, leisure quest reached out to Cyril Ogoro who partnered with Circle Media in producing this outstanding musical piece. Cyril promised to book an interview appointment at the shortest possible time interval. Two days later, he kept his promise.

And so it was that leisure quest got the opportunity to meet and interview the latest Star on the Gospel Musical stage, an Angelic lady called PRECY.

 The prestigious Cross River Movie Awards (CRMA) 2016 edition is scheduled to hold on the 11th of December, 2016. The originator and founder of CRMA is non other than
Hon. Eric Anderson who is presently the S A to the Governor of Cross River State on Tourism. The annual event was created with the main aim of providing a common platform to communicate the art of movie making appreciation and the timeless benefits of investing in the industry.
Having successfully hosted three editions of the celebration of Excellence in the local filmmaking industry, consequently CRMA is the existing local platform since 2013, providing a huge filmmaker's recognition and celebration that is capable of unimaginable positive societal impact. In the words of Eric Anderson, “The movie making industry is full of beauty and charm, with enchanting personality, dazzling historic relevance, remarkable arts and cultures, exquisite ancient and modern repertoire of storytelling.
